WILD HARVESTED MUSHROOMS

2 Angels Mushrooms offers a variety of delicious gourmet, locally foraged mushrooms as they are available in season. There are many types of mushrooms that simply cannot be farm raised. When they are in season, we will often harvest these delicious treats and bring them to market. Each mushroom has a distinctly different flavor and texture that lends itself better to certain dishes, ingredients, and cooking methods. Be sure to check our Recipe pages for cooking suggestions.

Maitake

A fall favorite that is amazing. It has a unique flavor that you will love. Look for this in October normally.

Golden Chanterelles

A chef favorite, look for Chanterelles at our market booth in the summer. They are a personal favorite of ours!

Morel Mushroom

The Cadillac of mushrooms. The taste of these spring time favorites are beyond compare.

Veiled Oyster

A firm mushroom often found in early spring.

Cauliflower Mushroom

A fall favorite with a nutty flavor

Chicken of the Woods

A firm mushroom with a flavor and texture exactly like chicken. Makes an excellent meat substitute. Look for recipes on our "Chicken of the Woods" recipe page.

Dryad's Saddle (Pheasant Back)

You are wondering, right? Yes, it really does taste like chicken. With its wonderful flavor and firm meaty texture, this mushroom is a great meat substitute.
